PATIENT DISCHARGE

Your doctor will say when you can go home. When he tells you this, you should make arrangements to leave; this allows staff to prepare your room for the next patient. Obstetric ward patient/newborns should be ready after 1400 hours. Check with the nurse before you leave. If requested, statements of hospitalization or sick leave either you at your sitter can be provided only if requested. Drugs & medicines; If you are given a prescription for medicines to be taken at home after your discharge, this can be given by the hospital pharmacy if you are exempted from charges.
